Without doubt, there is an urgent need for advanced theoretical investigations and research in order to analyse, understand and critique the media-society relations on domestic scale as well as globally. The M.A. Program in Media and Communication Systems is designed as a center for education and research to meet this need.

The Program aims to establish mechanisms of observation-monitoring targeting the media-society relations through qualitative and quantitative research programmes producing realistic, longitudinal, and sustainable analyses with the students who wish to become an expert in this field.

The Program also aims to prepare the students for their future Ph.D. studies as it renders opportunities to bring them together with significant figures from academia and media, offer courses from a wide variety of M.A. programs available at Bilgi University as well as providing them with the chance to study abroad with ERASMUS program and Laureate International Universities Network.
